What more could a girl ask for?

Happy Birthday, Mom!!

We went to
the LA-Z-Boy store to pick out love seats for her new house and ate at Fudduckers for lunch - What more could a girl ask for??

So what's irresistable about a Fuddruckers' lamp shade? Only Katherine knows...

When was the last time my mother had a birthday cake? I have no clue, so I ended up making her a lemon cake with valentine sprinkles. It tasted great but it too moist and by the end of the day, it collapsed into deep craters on top.

Nana bought Katherine a couple of fun new books. One title revealed Katherine's true identity:
"Princess Baby!"

Always a little tight at the forehead... Chub-a-dub, gotta love!

Katherine caught a virus this past week and had a fever for 3 days. I can't count the number of hours that I ended up holding her night and day because she couldn't sleep for more than 20 minutes at a time. But I tell you, the queen of drama did not abdicate her throne! She moaned and groaned the entire 3 days - it was truly pathetic at its finest! She continues to bite and knead my skin. Any theories why or how to get her to stop??
This week I decided that I would FINALLY sew the tabs for the wallhangings I have collected around the house for the last three years! However, with Kate getting sick, I got distracted so the project is sitting in the family room. Our ward had a Super Saturday where we made a whole bunch of crafts. I signed up to make two quiet books for church and and an "I spy" bag. Needless to say that I ended up talking the whole time and so I have three more projects left undone.
However, I made this pumpkin curry soup for the activity and it was AWESOME. I will post the recipe at the end of this blog.

Papa came in for Nana's birthday and came back to Phoenix early to play with Katherine. She took to him quickly, particularly when she saw his blackberry light up, and goaded him to chase her. I've never seen Dad was so happy to crawl on his hands and knees. He and Nana also introduced Katherine to pillow fights - for any damaged incurred at your house, they have agreed to liable...
