Friesses come to visit!

For all the fun the cousins had together, I managed to get two good action shots. The rest of the time I was laid up on the couch. In the picture above, they were creating a duck's nest at Bennett's direction and Jackson's critique. In the picture below, they are enjoying the sand & water table my dad and uncle Lloyd built last summer. Who knew that a few bags of sand and a hose could provide endless hours of entertainment?!
We also enjoyed a wonderful day visiting my grandmother in Gilbert. The kids played in the beach area at her club house while I laid on the sun chair. We had a fun dinner at an  open-air diner built on a farm. It had HUGE trees, which for Arizona is a novelty. The kids had fun trying to get in the mud and the adults took turns chasing them out from it.

Genet and her kids stayed with us for a couple of nights and we drove up together. I can't remember everything that went wrong but the two stand out the most were the car battery dying and Pax throwing up just as we left the house... It was a good laugh.

We had a really good visit. We love the Friesses and we look forward to seeing them again in July!

Goofin' Around

Yes, the Christmas Frog that sings "Stupid Cupid" is still alive and well! Katherine and I had just come home from a birthday party in the ward and she was revved up because of all the fun she had. We have some of the nicest teenage kids ever, who let her chase them and roar at them and pop balloons with them for two hours while I sat on the couch and wallowed in my nausea and exhaustion. I love those kids for how they make shower my daughter with attention. Her happiness lasts for hours. Thank you.

At the arcade???

Can you believe that this is a dentist's office? Things have sure changed since I was a kid!
These women were great! They let her check everything out, from the instruments to the moving chair.

I've always wanted to control of the suction thingy! We didn't manage to successfully get her teeth cleaned, but the dentist was able to get in an exam. No cavities. 20 teeth. Grinding is normal. My questions were answered. Now we just have to go back to help Katherine get comfortable with someone else brushing her teeth!

First Splash pad of the Season

No coaxing necessary for these girls!
Just sheer excitement!
