Easter morning

 I love that Katherine takes such joy in the simplest of things. She makes the holidays a blast!

Notice the amount protein on our table. My family are meat eaters. Katherine takes her eggs exactly like her dad with hot sauce and lots of juice.

We attended a sacrament meeting with Geoff today and hung around until our ward started. Needless to say that Katherine became fidgety. I think she kept herself in check pretty well considering that she had to sit on the stand with me because the choir was singing intermittently throughout the program. She even hit the high F at the end correctly and her efforts to sing would have blended in just fine had she not held it out too long. But this girl is a singer! I'm proud of her for trying. It's too bad she landed a cold today and it settled in her eyes and down her nose. She was miserable during church so we ended up coming home early. Sometimes being home is the best medicine.

Making our entertainment at Home

With bed rest, Katherine's surgery, cold and allergies, we have spent A LOT of time at home this past month and these are some of the usual craziness that keep us going.

 

Katherine received this wonderful big wheel at her 2 yr old birthday... None of us ever dreamed that she still would have trouble peddling. The upside is that she is content trying to take it around the house instead of me having to chase after outside.

No princess is complete without a tower. I believe we caught her singing her animals to sleep.

 Who said feather boas could only be used as an accessory? Did you know they make great chains for your prisoners? Poor Geoff.

Of course, we parents will do anything to wear Katherine out. These moments are priceless. She is the joy of our lives. She may be passionate. She may be opinionated. She may be aggressive. But she brings endless excitement to our lives. We are so glad she is ours.

Feeding the Ducks with Nana

 My parents were in Arizona for a couple weeks, but they had so many unfortunate things happen that they had to fix at their house, we were only able to see them for a couple of days. One afternoon we took advantage of the good weather and went to our favorite park to feed the ducks. We really appreciate all that our parents do for us and love any time that we get to spend together.

Ultrasound at 11 1/2 weeks

This is old news, but I had to go on bed rest for a while. All is well with the baby, but I just had to be careful. Of course, the rest hit just as I was starting to feel good again (my energy had come back and no nausea) and I really really wanted to get up off the couch and clean my dirty house, but we all had to wait another week. Geoff was wonderful and a total help through it all. Katherine, on the other hand, learned how much she could get away with because I could not grab her. But we lived through it just fine. I have another follow up in a couple of days so this picture will be *so* out of date ;>)
