The Ultrasound at 6 weeks and 3 days

It's incredible to me that we can literally see circulation at this stage in the development. The sac on the right measured at 7mm, right on target. The sac on the left measured a little over 3mm and there was no sign of heartbeat, so we're thinking that one is not going to take. We're a little disappointed that we won't get twins, but so happy for one healthy little embryo!

Tonight will be my LAST shot of progesterone, a 2-inch needle that goes into the muscle at the top back of my hips. I will be switching to a gel and throat lozenges and then we'll do another blood draw on Saturday to ensure my progesterone is staying at an appropriate level.

I have started 24 hr nausea that feels better only by keeping food in my stomach. I'm trying to eat healthy but this is going to be a trick to not gain weight. I nap daily, much to Katherine's chagrin. It seems that the moment her after lunch movie ends is the moment that I really fall asleep and she's sitting on me to wake up. I no longer want her to nap because she will stay up till 10pm. So often we deal with a cranky girl, but I'd have a cranky girl go to bed at 7pm.

We had a very successful day playing with strangers at Chik-Fil-A today. Katherine and 5 little boys chased each other for over an hour, no fights, just roaring and squeals. Another little girl showed up and Katherine asked her if she wanted to be friends... Now, if we can only transfer this great behavior into her play with kids she already knows...
