Seattle Zoo

My apologies. Whenever I'm with my family, there is never a shortage of cameras, so I hardly ever think to bring out our camera when everyone else is taking pictures... Consequently, again, I need to wait till they are able to email me some of the highlights. And there were MANY highlights. Genet announced that she is pregnant for the 4th time! A totally unexpected miracle. She has rightly pronounced themselves as the most fertile infertile couple she knows! She is due in September.
Jonah's baby blessing was beautiful. It was wonderful to celebrate with their family and friends. Saturday night we ate and played in the cultural hall. The kids had a ball running around. Sunday we had a brunch at Nat's friends' house. Fortunately, Geoff and I decided to stay another day so I didn't have fight anyone for a chance to hold Jonah. He is gorgeous! I love his reddish tuft of hair on the top of his head.
Monday, we went to the zoo. It seemed that most of the animals were in hibernation, but we had good weather and it was a nice walk. Katherine loved the birds and the rabbits the most.

This is Geoff's action shot...
A friend of ours gave Katherine some pink sunglasses and she has truly let out her inner rock star! While at the airport, Katherine just wandered around smiling and saying "hi" to everyone as she passed by. She melted even the roughest people's heart and brought smiles to their faces. Sometimes it's true joy to be her mom.

Riding with Aunt Natalie.

Falling asleep during lunch. she started crying before I had the chance to capture her head bobbing up and down. It was so cute, but whiny cries are what I get for being slow!

Hopefully, we'll get more pictures of the weekend to post. It truly was a GREAT trip.
