She lights up at bath time and loves any chance to stretch, kick and eat her fist. Her sweetness is contagious and everyone is quickly taken in by her beautiful blue eyes and gentle cooing.
She continues to sleep well at night which allows me to exercise in the mornings. She loves to watch me from her bouncy seat on the counter in the kitchen while I cook. She doesn't need to be held all day and just loves to snuggle when she can get it. It makes life very easy - she spoils us!
She is a great companion and all of us get excited when its our turn to play with her.
Katherine is getting creative with ways to play with her. Most consistently, Genevieve gets to play Lucifer, the cat from Cinderella, or be a doll for Katherine to dress up... so long as G is not a target for batting practice, I'm alright with it!Katherine's pretend play is from sun up to sun down. She acts the detailed life of every princess known to man. Fortunately, this means that she has moved on to watching other kinds of shows (including educational ones!) but her momentary favorites are sword fighting ones. She loves Three Musketeers and Robinhood, but now, through the grace of Netflix, she has discovered He Man and She Ra! She has declared Skeletor her favorite character and has asked that he come live with her. She is convinced that if she was his mommy and could buy him new clothes, she could make him good!
It's amazing how dramatic change can become the new norm so fast. We are settling into routine and are very happy. We are busy with the girls, exercising, organizing & cleaning out closets, going to the park and reading tons. I just received another calling as the ward music chair and I love it! Geoff started working 3 days with 13 hr shifts and it looks like it's going to be great for us, too. We eat dinner around 4pm before he leaves, there is plenty of time to clean up and relax before the bedtime routine kicks in. I go to bed early so I can exercise before Geoff gets home after 7am. He goes to sleep and we carry on with our schedule, do the whole thing over again and boom! He's done with his work week and we get him for a full 4 days! Not only do we get to have church together again, but we actually get Saturday nights, too! It's been 4 years since we've had a normal date night. It's wonderful!
